Terms of Service

Introduction

Welcome to Camping Logbook (”we,” ”our,” or ”us”). By using our mobile application (”App”), you agree to comply with these Terms of Service (”Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.

Account Registration & Usage

• Users must provide a valid email address to create an account. 
• Email verification must be completed within 24 hours to maintain access. 
• Accounts that are not verified within 24 hours will be restricted to a ”Please verify your email” page until verification is complete. 
• Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials.

Subscriptions & Payments

• Certain features—such as adding locations to maps—require a paid subscription. 
• Payments are processed through Google Play or the App Store. 
• Subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law. 
• Future updates may include optional one-time purchases (e.g., e-books or digital tools).

Content & User Responsibilities

• Users may log camping trips, including locations, methods of camping, and participants. 
• Users must ensure that uploaded content (e.g., images) does not violate laws or infringe third-party rights. 
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

Data Privacy

• Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, and process your data. 
• By using the App, you agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

Account Termination

• Users may delete their accounts and all associated data at any time from within the App. 
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our policies.

Age Requirement

• Users must be 16 years or older to use the App. 
• Users under 18 must have parental consent to make purchases or subscribe.

Service Availability & Limitation of Liability

• We strive to provide a reliable and uninterrupted service, but we do not guarantee that the App or any features—including paid features—will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. 
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App (including premium features) at any time, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice. 
• In the event of downtime, changes, or feature limitations, we are not liable for any losses, including loss of access, data, or expected benefits. 
• Your use of the App is at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Camping Logbook disclaims all warranties, express or implied.

Changes to These Terms

• We may update these Terms from time to time without prior notice. 
• Users are responsible for reviewing the Terms periodically to stay informed of updates. 
• Continued use of the App after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.

Legal Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.

Apple App Store Specific Terms

If you have downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following terms apply in addition to all other terms in this agreement:

This Agreement is between you and Camping Logbook only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.

License Grant: Camping Logbook grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control and as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

Maintenance and Support: Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App. All support is provided solely by Camping Logbook.

Warranty Disclaimer: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App. Any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the sole responsibility of Camping Logbook.

Product Claims: You acknowledge that Camping Logbook, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including but not limited to:

• Product liability claims,
• Any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and
• Claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.

Intellectual Property: You acknowledge that in the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights, Camping Logbook, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property claim.

Third-Party Beneficiary: You and Camping Logbook acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and that upon your acceptance of the terms of this agreement, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
