Introduction
Welcome to Camping Logbook (“we”, “our”, or “us”).
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Camping Logbook mobile application (“the App”).
By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
Account Registration and Use
- A valid email address is required.
- You are responsible for maintaining account security.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Age Requirements
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the App.
- Users under 18 must have parental consent to make purchases.
- The App is not intended for children under 16.
Subscriptions, Payments, and Purchases
- Certain features require a paid subscription.
- Payments are processed via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
- Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Optional one-time purchases may be offered in the future.
Advertisements
- The App may display third-party advertisements.
- Ads are intended for teen audiences and older.
- We do not control third-party ad content.
- Any interaction with ads is between you and the advertiser.
User Content and Responsibilities
User-Generated Content
You may create, upload, or submit content through the App, including but not limited to text, images, locations, and other information (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant Camping Logbook a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process the content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the App.
Your Responsibilities
You agree not to upload content that:
- Violates laws or regulations
- Infringes third-party rights
- Is harmful, misleading, or abusive
- Contains malware or harmful code
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
Data Privacy
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Account Termination
- You may delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.
- Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases.
Service Availability
- The App is provided “as is” and “as available”.
- We may modify or discontinue features at any time.
- We are not liable for service interruptions or feature changes.
Use of App Features
The App includes features based on calculations, device sensors, and location data (such as leveling tools and sun positioning).
These features are provided for informational and convenience purposes only.
You acknowledge that results may vary and may not always be accurate or suitable for your specific situation.
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, all warranties are disclaimed.
We make no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the App or its features.
Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the App.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Camping Logbook shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to damages resulting from:
- Use of or reliance on measurements, calculations, or location-based information provided by the App
- Decisions made based on information from the App (such as positioning, navigation, or placement decisions)
- Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in App functionality
Your use of the App is at your own risk.
Changes to These Terms
Terms may be updated from time to time.
Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.
Apple App Store Specific Terms
If you have downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following terms apply in addition to all other terms in this agreement:
This Agreement is between you and Camping Logbook only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
License Grant: Camping Logbook grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control and as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
Maintenance and Support: Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App. All support is provided solely by Camping Logbook.
Warranty Disclaimer: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App. Any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the sole responsibility of Camping Logbook.
Product Claims: You acknowledge that Camping Logbook, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including but not limited to:
- Product liability claims,
- Any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and
- Claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
Intellectual Property: You acknowledge that in the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes a third party’s intellectual property rights, Camping Logbook, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such intellectual property claim.
Third-Party Beneficiary: You and Camping Logbook acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and that upon your acceptance of the terms of this agreement, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
